In a heartfelt letter on his Tumblr page Frank Ocean spilled his heart about the summer of 2008 where he fell in love for the first time, with a man.

The letter continues to talk about the emotions he went through after falling in love and battling rumors about his own sexuality after finding fame.

After a BBC review analyzed some of his lyrics on his upcoming Def Jam debut, Channel Orange, it was suspected that Frank would be announcing his coming out, as the album chronicles the feelings he talks about in the Tumblr letter.

At the end of the letter Frank reveals that he feels “like a free man” and thanked his mother for making him a strong man.

After reading the letter Tyler, the Creator tweeted his thoughts, saying “My big brother finally fu**ing did that. Proud of that ni**a cause I know that sh*t is difficult or whatever.”
